French label Sessun Eska sherpa ankle boots in rich green suede. A line available through Madewell.
The sherpa lining extends throughout the boot minus the insole, so it keeps your feet pretty warm. The top collar can be worn either folded down or standing up. I kept the collar up while both wearing and storing so it's in good shape.
Emma Franois, the designer behind this free-spirited French-born label, was headed for a career in economic anthropology when she sidelined into fashion. Since then, she has been dreaming up footwear and clothing with an artful ease and a cool-girl Parisian vibe that we can't get enough of. Not to mention the label is incredibly hard to find in the States, which makes us that much happier that we got our hands on these cozy buckled suede booties with soft Sherpa lining. Not sure what your European shoe size is? Our size chart will help you out.
2 2/5" heel.
These are my absolute favorite ankle booties, in a rich green suede with sherpa lining at the ankle, and leather inside. Very comfortable because the heel is only 2.5", with an almond toe. The top part can be straight up to show only the green suede, or folded down to show the sherpa lining. I bought this hoping the EU size 38 would mean my size 8 foot could fit it well, but it really translates better to a 7-7.5 US size. I keep all my shoes and boots in boxes with paper, so these Sessun Eska booties are in good condition.
