What are my shipping options as a seller? Last updated Sep 28, 2018

For each item you list on Tradesy, you'll pre select one of three convenient shipping methods: receive a Shipping Kit in the mail, print a label directly from your Tradesy account, or handle shipping on your own. The cost of your chosen shipping method is then added to the item's price, so the buyer pays both your listing price and shipping at checkout.

 

You set your own price for your item, and then the shipping cost is added to that total. When you create your listing, you'll pre select one of three shipping options in the item's Shipping section.  Choose which method works best for you:

 

Tradesy Shipping Kit

Ship without ever leaving home. We send everything you need to get the item to the buyer, including a polybag or box, tissue paper, a hang tag - and a prepaid USPS Priority label with insurance and tracking already included.

Buyer prices vary depending on kit size. Based on your listing details, we'll suggest the best size for your item:

  • Polybag Kit (15" L x 12" W)
  • Large Polybag Kit (16" L x 18" W)
  • Ring Box Kit (4” L x 3.25" W x 1.5" H)
  • Sunglass Box Kit (7.5" L x 3.75" W x 3.25" H)
  • Accessory Box Kit (6.25" L x 6.25" W x 3.5" H)
  • Shoe Box Kit (13.25" L x 9" W x 4.5" H)
  • Medium Box Kit (16" L x 13" W x 6.25" H) 

When your item sells, we'll mail you the kit right away, which typically takes between 3-5 business days to reach you. Neatly wrap your item in the kit and then hand to your mail carrier or drop in a Priority mailbox. Tracking will automatically update on Tradesy as the package makes its way to the buyer.

 

Prepaid shipping label  

Print a USPS shipping label directly from your Tradesy account after you confirm your sale. The prepaid label is USPS Priority Mail with tracking already included, and the buyer price is $10.50.

Use your own packaging materials - or, pick up a free USPS Priority envelope or box at your local post office. Pro tip: Have packaging delivered right to your home by ordering online here.

After neatly packaging your item, tape the label on top and hand to your mail carrier or drop in a Priority mailbox. Tracking will automatically update on Tradesy as the package makes its way to the buyer.

 

Ship on your own

Use your own packaging, shipping label, and tracking number. in the listing, we'll provide a shipping calculator and space for you to add in your estimated out-of-pocket cost, so the buyer price includes both your item and its shipping expense. 

When your item sells, Tradesy will show the buyer's address on your Sales page. You'll neatly package the item and drop it off at the shipping carrier of your choice. Don't forget to insure your package and head back to your Sales page to add the package's tracking number, so the order can automatically update on Tradesy as it makes its way to the buyer.

Note: Orders over $500 must be shipped with Signature Required upon delivery.

 

Exceptions

All three shipping options are available for any item for sale on Tradesy, except for items listed in the Weddings category. Sellers posting Wedding items must use their own packaging, shipping label, and tracking number.
