ROBERTO DE VILLACIS
**This incredibly dynamic Roberto De Villacis *Audrey Tribal* strapless cocktail dress is a true work of art. The underdress was painted by California artist John Kalamara, and the cascading silk ribbons were hand silk-screened and sewn onto silk tulle. You are going to adore the way the ribbons sway seductively as you move, as well as the fact that this incredible piece looks equally at home with a pair of killer booties and a leather jacket, as with ultra-sleek pumps and, say, a diamond necklace. Medium weight and fully lined, with a back zipper closure and padded bust cups.**Roberto de Villacis is an international designer/artist. First discovered by Karl Lagerfeld in Paris, Roberto has been creative director, designer and consultant for iconic luxury brands including Missoni, L’Oreal, Lancome, and Anna Molinari-Blumarine. For two decades his unique designs have been captured by the legendary photographers Helmut Newton, Ellen Von Unwerth and Steven Meisel, and featured in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, W, Elle, BBC news and the Financial Times.
Roberto’s work is recognized as original, glamorous and truly luxurious. Exhibited in international museums and galleries from Asia to Europe, Roberto’s art/fashion work is also in the permanent collection of the Louvre Museum of the Decorative Arts in Paris. Pushing the boundaries of art, entertainment, and fashion, Roberto’s philosophy is Le Devine in Design.
Most recently known for his recurring participation on the Bravo TV reality hit, Launch My Line, Roberto is also in the spotlight for creating Carrie Underwood’s show stopping look for her steamy Cowboy Casanova music videos and show performances.
From country to pop to Hollywood icons, Roberto has also created one-of-a-kind pieces for Penelope Cruz, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Moss, Veruschka, Keith Richards, Anjelica Houston and for singer Kate Perry’s Moscow concert and upcoming music video. His film credits include dressing Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada, which was styled by Patricia Fields whose work on the film garnered her an Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design.
