Celebs hit the red carpet in aisle-worthy white gowns
Yesterday was Part 1 of Red Carpet, White Dresses, featuring Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie in fabulous white dresses. Today, check out Rihanna, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Teri Hatcher and more, wearing some of the most beautiful and bizarre bridal styles we’ve ever seen. <!–more–>
J. Love rocks this destination wedding-worthy frock in style with classic pearl accessories.
Only Rihanna could look this good in a white gown with feathered bodice and ruched hips. Figure flattering? Definitely not. But this dress is positively regal, totally unique, and completely unforgettable.
Fergie’s grecian goddess gown is so 2010! This chic dress would make a gorgeous modern bridal frock paired with a sparkly tiara and flowing veil.
Lady Gaga’s 3-tiered gown is reminiscent of the YSL cocoon dress we featured earlier this week. The Marie Antoinette wig and masquerade lace face make this a style that only Gaga can rock. Our advice? Don’t try this at home!
Kate Hudson doesn’t let a little red carpet rain get in the way of this stunning fashion statement. The swooping bodice wraps her midsection like a bow, and feathered details add a touch of whimsy to this seriously chic gown. A feather fascinator would make this look absolutely aisle-worthy.
The critics just hated this gown when Cameron Diaz wore it to the 2007 Golden Globes, but our informal Recycled Bride judging panel thinks it’s just lovely. The one-shoulder style and organza ruffles are fun and flirty, and the jeweled belt with black bow is a fun, unique accessory. For a bride, we’d replace the belt with a white sash for the ceremony then switch it up for the reception.
Jada Pinkett Smith’s bejeweled one-shoulder gown is oh-so-sophisticated, and would be a perfect choice for a mature bride to wear down the aisle.
This wild bridal costume looks great on Beyonce, but we can’t imagine who would wear it to an actual wedding. The jewel-embellished sweetheart bodice would look incredible attached to a skirt that…well, didn’t leave your underwear showing. This is a look that’s best left onstage.
Eva Longoria Parker’s blush-colored sparkly strapless dress is a bridal fantasy. Paired with a matching jewel-embellished chiffon veil, this dress definitely says “I do!”
Miley’s a little young to get married, but she’s old enough to make this flowing frock look fabulous on the red carpet. A relaxed, chic bride would look fab in a tiered gown like Miley’s.
Teri Hatcher’s one-shouldered gown is a true knockout! The thin black belt and super-sophisticated silhouette are just to-die-for. Getting married in a dress like this would make a bride into anything but a desperate housewife.
Socialite Olivia Wilde looks great in this daring cutout gown with uneven curtain-like hems. But it would take a truly “cutting-edge” bride to make this look work for a wedding.
