We absolutely loved this post on Mashable about an elderly English gent who donated his wife’s 1950s lace wedding dress to a charity thrift store in the northern part of England. When the store put it out for sale, they found a secret note pinned to it.
“I wish any lady who takes this dress to have a life with her loved one, 56 years like I did, happy years. I was a lucky man to marry a lady like mine,” the notes says. The store put a call out on Facebook and eventually found the man.
They reported he was a ‘true gent’, as one might expect. The store put the dress on eBay to raise funds for charity. Read the full story here.
Awwww. Our hearts feel very full.
