Look 5 Pounds Thinner in 5 Days for Your Wedding

(Disclaimer for today’s blog post:  I’m not a fan of women obsessing over weight loss, how to get ripped, and unattainable body perfection — thinking too much about  your that stuff makes you boring and annoying. But everybody wants to look drop-dead amazing on their wedding day, and part of that is being at a weight you feel is ideal. So here’s how to get there.)

Who’s luckier than me? My neighbor just happens to be celebrity body transformation expert Chad Waterbury. <!–more–>

Chad helps elite athletes, Playboy playmates, and celebrities like Heidi Montag get lean, sexy bodies. Oh, and he also helped little ol’ me drop 10 pounds and get in the best shape of my life before my own wedding. Chad’s not your average fitness trainer — he’s a published author with a highly specialized knowledge of physiology that makes him one of the most sought after diet and exercise experts in the world. And today, Chad’s sharing his best tips for looking lean on your wedding day with Recycled Bride readers.

Here, in his own words, is Chad’s secret to looking 5 pounds thinner in 5 days:

In the last few days leading up to your wedding, you can significantly improve how you look and feel. Now, you can’t lose a lot of fat, but you can tighten up your figure by dropping pounds of excess water that make you look heavier than you really are.

Here’s how you do it:

Days 5, 4 and 3 before the wedding: drink 1.5 gallons of water over the course of the day. Eat six small meals that consist of lean protein, green vegetables and berries (these foods keep your digestive tract healthy while eliminating the bloat that high carb foods will cause). Lightly salt your food at each meal. This water/sodium load will prepare your body to lose excess water weight the following few days.

2 Days before the wedding: cut your water intake to 3/4 of a gallon, eat the same small meals, and stop salting your food.

24 hours before the wedding: limit your water intake to 12 ounces. In other words, drink a few ounces here and there when your mouth gets dry. Eat small portions of any healthy food – raw veggies and unsalted mixed nuts work well – to control your blood sugar and hunger (this is an important step because the last thing you want to be on your wedding day is light-headed)!

Follow this simple protocol to safely drop 4 or 5 pounds of excess weight so you can look and feel slimmer on your big day!

Thanks Chad!

Now here’s the best thing about Chad’s fitness advice, and the reason that I feel so good about sharing it with my readers: Chad can teach you about fat loss, but he is first and foremost a health expert. He’d never condone using extreme or dangerous dieting techniques, and all of his weight loss tips are also designed to increase your overall health.

(PS — I am trying to convince Chad to create a low-budget, high-impact fitness plan just for Recycled Brides! I’ll be relentlessly bribing him with fresh-baked healthy snacks and all manner of neighborly gestures until he agrees to find time in his busy schedule to do it. Stay tuned!)
