Baby-soft skin and more from from Terra Firma all-natural makeup & skin care
Obsession confession: I have spent a cumulative 3.5 hours in the bathtub since last Friday’s GreenBlogCon, scrubbing myself silly with Terra Firma’s Sweet & Salty Body Treat. Heavenly! I smell good enough to eat, and it seems to be clearing up what the hubby lovingly refers to as my “backne issue”. (Occasional minor back breakouts caused by the oil in my hair products, thank you very much.) <!–more–>
Like all of Terra Firma’s products, the Sweet and Salty scrub is made from 100% safe, natural, non-animal tested ingredients. And because you read the Big List, you already know how important it is to avoid petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, parabens, synthetic pigments and dyes. Check out the all natural ingredients in my scrub (Which though it reads like a cake recipe, is actually not edible):
Amazing Ingredients: Pure Cane Sugar, Sea Salt, Vegetable Glycerin, Olea Europea (Olive) Oil, Polysorbate-20, Emulsifying Wax (Vegetable Source), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Magnesium Stearate, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juicelcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Shea Butter, Water, Solanium Lycopersicum (Tomatoe) Fruit Powder, Citric Acid, Vitamin E, Sugar Cane Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit, Blackwillow Bark Extract, Prunus Avium (Cherry) Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Cinnamomium Zeylanicum Bark Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Ctrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Root Extract, Olea Europea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Natural Essential Oil Scent Blend, Fumed Silica.
Sisters Dori Patrick and Meri Yardley started Terra Firma Cosmetics back in 2004, and they work hard to source only the finest ingredients for their cosmetics and beauty care products. The Terra Firma website is super informative, and the products are thoughtfully created and packaged. Like the Hydrasilk Mineral foundation sample stacker: You can buy it for $15.99, test out a bunch of different products and shades, and then the generous ladies at Terra Firma will give you a $10 credit towards your foundation purchase. Pretty awesome, especially when you check out these wild before and after pics that demonstrate the natural-looking coverage power of unmicronized minerals. Other products I love: The delicious grain-alcohol based fragrances, and the shimmery Loose Mineral Eye Shadow in Chocolate Diamonds, a perfect brown color.
Okay then, off to go get my soak on!
Full Disclosure: All of the bloggers at last week’s GreenBlogCon 2009 got fabulous swag bags full of goodies from the convention’s sponsors, including Terra Firma. When I discover new products this way, I only review the stuff I love. Just so you know.
