Moon is the founder of Korea’s Unification Church, and he and his wife Han Hak Ja presided over the ceremony that married couples from South Korea, Japan, the United States, Europe, and Africa. Members of the church call Moon and his wife “True Parents”. No word on how bummed their actual parents are about that.

Some of the couples who were married had never met before the mass wedding. The Unification Church arranges marriages based on church members’ photos and biographical information. More mass “cosmic celebrations” are planned for this month to celebrate Reverend Moon’s 90th birthday on february 25th.
