***A Great Additional Discount Is Available!!---Click on my Name Above ( "Listed by...") to learn about my Multi-Sale Discount Offer in my Closet Profile*** This Vintage Tradition 14-Karat White Gold Diamond Watch is incredibly special. This 1961 timepiece from Sears, Roebuck and Company is a fully-operational 17-jewel Antimagnetic Manual Wind with a Spidel Ladies Expandable Twist-O-Flex Bracelet band; each of its 46 bottom-box links stamped with the "Spidel" Stamp, Patent# 2689450 and Part# 3,307,348. While the watch Case is 14-Karat White Gold filled and beautifully embellished with mirror-reflection- top & bottom White Gold scrolls adorned with Dual Diamonds, the Stainless Steel Bracelet was manufactured by the creators of the 'New' Twist-O-Flex Band. Sears, Robuck & Company began by selling watches and their commitment to their foundation--watch quality remained high through their diversification into other merchandise. The Twist-O-Flex Band was based on the German "Fixo-Flex. Band. The first Ladies Twist-O-Flex was introduced in 1961. Popularly called the "tank track" due to its resemblance to the tread of a tank when laid flat, thankfully, this military reference didn't diminish the dainty femininity of the Ladies version. At this time, the watch band was and is considered light years ahead of any other watchband products, was a sales phenomenon and was the fashion statement of its time. The Vintage quality of this 53 year old watch quality is Good. While there are minute scratches on the face--visible only with a magnifying glass there are no other flaws. At all. The White Gold Case back is engraved with "14K Gold". This exquisite watch requires daily winding by hand as did all watches prior to 1963, when Seiko developed quartz-crystal, battery-powered chronometers. Once this beautiful watch is gently wound and the crown is depressed, you or the wonderful deserving person you gift it to will hear the magical, musical "tick, tick, tick". Band 6"L; Case .5"W x 1"H. This 4-Diamond treasure makes a stand for the value and beauty of things "yesterday".
