Hermes Chaine d'ancre sterling silver bracelet, created by Robert Dumas. Dumas' inspiration for this design came from the anchor chains of large naval vessels, which he observed in the shipyards of Normandy. He transformed his fascination into a bracelet of sterling silver in 1938, which remains one of the most iconic symbols of the brand to this day. Mr. Dumas would later go on to become the third leader of the house of Hermes in 1951, after the death of his father-in-law Emile-Maurice Hermes, grandson of Hermes founder Thierry Hermes. This bracelet, in size PM, has a toggle/mantel closure and each link is roughly 0.55" x 0.31" (or about 1.4cm x 0.8cm). The total length is roughly 7.5" (or 19cm).
