Don’t you just love the dramatic aisle and simple ceremony area? Nature truly is the best backdrop for a wedding like this. In the silver buckets at the end of the aisle are parasols to protect guests from the sun.

The Calistoga Ranch is known for its lush green open spaces, and the couple took full advantage of the gorgeous landscape to take these sweet photos. Emily DIY-ed most of the wedding’s decor, including the programs and signage below.

Lit mostly by candlelight, the reception tables are fit for an elegant Roman banquet. This organic, cave-like space creates instant warmth and intimacy for guests. The wedding cake at the back of the room is the only decoration needed.

A lush forest wedding filled with cute and quirky details in Washington State

Elizabeth and Lowell’s wedding, as photographed by the mindblowingly talented Sean Flanigan, is like a Tim Burton movie if Tim Burton movies were joyful and light instead of dark and goth-y. Every detail, from Elizabeth’s romantic Nicole Miller dress and sparkly accessories to the handmade programs and placecards, looks like it comes from an artfully woven fairy tale about a fair maiden and her creatively-vested prince. Held in Kitsap Memorial State Park in Washington, this wedding has such a sweet, playful quality to it…I hope you’re as inspired by it as I was!
